About LAX CONRAC
The LAX Consolidated Rent-A-Car (CONRAC) Facility is a state-of-the-art transportation hub designed to streamline and enhance the rental car experience at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). As one of the largest facilities of its kind in the world, the CONRAC brings together more than 10 rental car brands into one convenient location, significantly improving efficiency and reducing traffic around the airport.
Located just east of the airport, the CONRAC is connected to LAX terminals via the Automated People Mover (APM), a fast and environmentally friendly train system that provides seamless, shuttle-free transit for travelers. This innovative project is a key part of LAX’s modernization efforts, aimed at reducing congestion, lowering carbon emissions, and enhancing the overall passenger experience.
The facility spans over 5.3 million square feet and includes rental car customer service areas, ready/return spaces, and storage for over 18,000 vehicles. It is designed with sustainability in mind, featuring solar panels, electric vehicle charging stations, and LEED Silver certification standards.
